My research is based on absence as a force that transcends time and space. By recognizing fleeting gestures in everyday situations that reveal a diffuse memory, I seek different ways to represent how the non-existent helps us understand the present.
By assuming the weight of the void that inhabits our relationship with the environment, violence, identity, religion, and nature, I resort to media such as sculpture, installation, and painting to decontextualize objects and draw metaphors that bring us closer to our human condition in a unique way.
I act against our nature of control, trying to preserve what is destined to disappear and understand it through its absence.
Mi investigación se basa en la ausencia como una fuerza que trasciende el tiempo y el espacio. Al reconocer gestos fugaces en situaciones cotidianas que revelan una memoria difusa, busco distintas maneras de representar cómo lo inexistente nos ayuda a comprender lo presente.
Al asumir el peso del vacío que habita en nuestra relación con el entorno, la violencia, la identidad, la religión y la naturaleza, recurro a medios como la escultura, la instalación y la pintura para descontextualizar objetos y trazar metáforas que nos acerquen a nuestra condición humana de una forma singular.
Actúo en contra de nuestra naturaleza de control, intentando preservar lo destinado a desaparecer y comprenderlo a través de su ausencia.
